CASE STUDIES

Our operational vision statement is straightforward, yet deeply meaningful: North Carolina is a state where businesses and citizens maximize economic and educational opportunities to prosper in life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
This vision is achieved, we believe, by empowering leaders and inspiring results. When business leaders collaborate on a big idea to advance the public good, they can achieve things nobody thought possible.
What follows are brief case studies featuring some of the work The Results Company has undertaken over the years. Our projects are diverse, but common to all of them are senior executive leaders engaged in the public space to make our state better.
Economic Branding
for North Carolina
In the wake of the HB2 controversy, North Carolina's business climate struggled to realize the full benefits of its pro-growth reforms. Recognizing the need to reset the narrative, The Results Company led a statewide effort that ultimately launched the $30 million "All in NC" campaign—an initiative that helped reposition North Carolina as a national leader in economic development.

Starting a Nonprofit
The Results Company brings deep expertise in launching and managing nonprofits as strategic tools to advance economic and educational opportunity across North Carolina. From founding mission-driven organizations to executing high-impact initiatives like the Marine Estuary Foundation and its groundbreaking Findex tool, we provide the operational strength that turns vision into measurable results.
TRC Nexus
Faced with an overwhelming news landscape that often misses what matters most to business leaders, The Results Company created TRC Nexus—a curated, insider-focused news resource born from a 2018 summit of North Carolina’s top executives. Today, TRC Nexus delivers timely, relevant insights at the intersection of business, policy, and politics, reaching a select statewide audience with content that informs and influences.

NCInnovation
For over 30 years, The Results Company has worked at the intersection of business, policy, and politics to turn bold ideas into action—most notably by helping launch NCInnovation, a groundbreaking public-private partnership. Designed to accelerate the commercialization of applied research across the UNC System, NCInnovation now manages a $500 million endowment to fuel economic growth and innovation statewide.
