


Case Study: TRC Nexus
Over the decades, we – and especially our clients – encountered a recurring problem: There’s so much news out there, but it seems so little information of actual relevance reaches the ears that need to hear it, especially in the state-level political and business arena. There’s at once too much and too little news.
This problem reached a crescendo during a 2018 summit organized by The Results Company. The state’s top business leaders were candidly discussing policy areas that seemed ripe for legislative action with legislative leaders. Partway through the back-and-forth, it became clear that the legislature in fact was considering many of the very issues the business leaders had on their minds. The initiatives just hadn’t yet matured to the point of attracting media interest.


From there, discussion turned to the urgent need for a niche resource that could deliver to the business community timely information about the happenings at the intersection of business, politics, and policy. On that day, TRC Nexus was conceived.
TRC Nexus, operated by The Results Company, compiles daily state and national news and analysis that business leaders won’t find anywhere else. We curate the content with our specific business audience in mind, and we meticulously maintain our recipient list to keep the club small and intimate. Weekly, we author original columns on topics that inform, challenge and inspire business leaders – and track the performance of our products which we know today exceeds the reach of several online news outlets.
